Make Your Figures Count was founded by Chartered Accountant John Carter to help practising accountants develop their business skills.

Accountants that benefit from his highly practical advice are mainly those who are anticipating becoming a partner, those who have recently been appointed a partner or those who are considering acquiring a practice.

Those that have been serving the needs of their clients for many years also benefit from John’s courses and consultancy.

John was in practice from 1983 until 2010 and during that period was a partner in a range of businesses including a top ten firm and a boutique practice which he ran for many years with his wife.

For the past twelve years John has been a member of the team which delivers a post graduate course in business management skills at The University of Bristol and he is a guest lecturer in Entrepreneurship for The Bristol Business School MBA and in self employment matters at The University of Bath Spa.

As well as being a fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales John is also a member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, a member of The Academy of Experts and a non-practising member of The National Association of Specialist Dental Accountants.

John’s down-to-earth and approachable style is much appreciated by those who attend his courses and his effectiveness continues to be confirmed by the high scoring assessments which his courses receive.
